Watercolor Workshop Online – Painting the Gales of November
November 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
During this 90-minute online workshop, you will learn how to capture the motion, mood and power of the “gales of November”… or in other words, the power of crashing waves on rugged shorelines in the cold, late autumn season of the year. Paul will demonstrate the anatomy of waves, how to mimic wave action with brushstrokes, how to create a sense of volume and scale, and how to paint the feel of gale-force winds. There can be great freedom and reckless abandon in painting these scenes! This subject can be a perfect subject to tackle for painters who struggle with too much detail and rigidity, and who desire to “loosen up.”
You will be able to ask questions of Paul and interact with other participants at your comfort level. All ability levels welcome.
All registered participants will receive a recording of the class.
COST: Donation of any amount – suggested donation amounts, $15, $25, $35, $50, other. Thank you.
Reference photos will be sent to you via e-mail prior to the workshop.
